So, I don't really write poetry, mostly because, well, I can't.
I don't understand rhyming patterns, I can't use alliteration properly, I thought Keats was a rambling idiot and could just about understand Dr Suess. Like I said, I don't really do poetry.
HOWEVER - When the opportunity came up to write a piece for the Art of Protest: MMUnion edition, I wasn't not going to get involved. Now, I've mentioned No More Page 3, haven't I? (If you've missed it, sign here) So naturally, my piece was going to be on the campaign and low and behold, what do I go and create? That's right. A poem.
I've written a sodding poem and what's more is that it has ACTUALLY been selected to be part of the exhibition. My writing. Is being featured. In an ACTUAL exhibition. How very, terribly exciting. I tried filming the flipping thing, but editing has been a nightmare, so it's going to be typed up nicely and framed. Might even see if I can read it out loud.
- Sorry, just seen this weeks X Factor result, literally want to kill someone, anyways...-
Back to it, yes, I'm going to be in an exhibition. And it's poetry. Christ, even I'm aware how ridiculous that sounds. I'm actually very, very excited though. I'M BEING FEATURED!!! Ahhhh!!
In other news, an over sized denim jacket, plain but pretty shirt, statement patterned boots and new high tops have all been added to this months shopping list. I'll update as I buy.
Much love xx
